David Orduña
David Orduña is a maverick, eclectic and committed musician. Passionate about new sounds, music in general, teaching, and traveling the world.
He has combined his facet as a musician (graduate in classical music from the Rentería conservatory and graduate in Jazz from the Pamplona conservatory) playing with musicians of the most varied styles (pop, rock, electronic, jazz, ska, reggae, funk...) with her passion for teaching.
Since 2001 he has been a tenured professor at the municipal music school of Barañain (Navarra). He has traveled the length and breadth of the planet. Combining his three passions, he has participated in various teaching projects in Africa, social integration through music.
Since the 1990s he has collaborated with electronic music artists, being attracted to that genre when there were still hardly any experiments by classical jazz musicians with such types of music. Forming part in the 2000s of the "laboratory of sensations" a unique and groundbreaking experiment that combined traditional Basque music with jazz and electronic music.
From that close relationship with electronic music comes “The smoking trumpet”, a project sometimes solo, sometimes shared with other artists, where David Orduña gives free rein to his passion for the genre, and for research into new sounds.
